These sound clips are examples of EVP - Electronic Voice Phenomena. Investigators will set up analog or tape recorders in a haunted location, and sometimes noises or words are found on the recordings later, even though they were not heard while the recording was taking place. Sometimes this phenomenom will also appear on videotapes.

The belief behind EVPs is that the sounds or words you are about to hear have somehow been spoken or created by spirits. All efforts are made during recording to ensure that the sounds do not come from people moving, talking, etc.

Sometimes the EVPs are easy to hear. Other times, audio software is used to raise the volume or cut out background noise. If any of the below clips were altered with audio software, it will be clearly marked as such.
