The PRS works with a number of talented individuals who are always willing to donate their time and resources when it is needed most. Just as the PRS helps other groups who need consulting, we also call upon specialists to lend their expertise to our organization. Some of these individuals we have met in person, while others communicate with our society via email and phone conversations when distance precludes face-to-face meetings. George Hansen was employed in parapsychology laboratories for eight years, three at the Rhine Research Center in Durham, North Carolina and five years at Psychophysical Research Laboratories in Princeton, New Jersey. He has conducted ESP Experiments with remote viewing, card guessing, and psychometry. His work in psychokinesis involved electronic random number generators. He has also published research on ghosts and UFOs.

Mr. Hansen has been a member of the American Society for Psychical Research and the Paraphysical Association and is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He was cataloger of the Milbourne Christopher Library, one of the largest collections of magic in the United States. Mr. Hansen's papers have appeared in refereed journals such as Contemporary Psychiatry, the Journal of Parapsychology, and the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research. They have covered such topics as mathematical statistics, deception, the role of magicians in psychic research, and the history of magic.

He is the author of the book The Trickster and the Paranormal, which integrates the findings of psychic research with anthropology, psychology, and literary theory. His book can be purchased here.

George has helped the PRS by paticipating in their studies and offering his expertise in setting up carefully controlled experiments. His experience in the field of parapsychology has proved invaluable in our developing of scientific studies.







Scott C. Carr is a writer, journalist, and ufologist with an insatiable curiosity for modern folklore. He has appeared as an expert on both television and radio, including FOX News: FOX and the film documentary The Hudson Valley Sightings. In addition, he produced and co-hosted his own radio talk show UFO Desk on 99.5 FM WBAI, NY. As a specialist on the Pine Bush/Hudson Valley phenomena, Scott has appeared on countless radio shows and his articles have appeared in such publications as The MUFON Journal (The Mutul UFO Network). In 1999, for work on his para-sociological news journal The Flying Saucer Gazette, Scott was awarded The Hunter S. Thompson Award for Outstanding Journalism.

Scott's work has recently appeared in the anthologies Of Flesh and Hunger, The Wicked Will Laugh, Demonology-Grammaticus Demonium, and Scary Holiday Tales to Make you Scream. A chapter from his novel Believer appears in Sick: An Anthology of Illness. Carr's work has been favorably reviewed in both MovieLine and Heavy Metal: The Adult Illustrated Fantasy Magazine.

He is the Chief Editor of the critically acclaimed Apocalypse Fiction Magazine and the Writer and Executive Producer of the AFM/Blue Moon Movies original television pilot, The NUKE Brothers. He has written for both Sony Entertainment and Artisan Films' Distant Corners Entertainment Group (for whom he developed Closer Encounters, a paranormal multi-media news/documentary site). Scott is currently hard at work on his nonfiction book Junkyard Living.
